The Principal of Khairpur College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology Professor Dr Mohammad Ibrahim Keerio urged students to focus more on research-oriented education to meet major challenges being faced by agriculture sector of Sindh due to various climatic hazards. He said this, while speaking at a farewell ceremony hosted in honor of final-year students held by students at KCAET College.
Dr Ibrahim said Sindh Agriculture University of Tandojam under vice-chancellor Dr Mujeebuddin Sahari has provided all required facilities to the KCAET College and now it is duty of students they should focus on their career. "Students are assets of the country. They will play role of anchor in society utilizing their talent after getting knowledge from our college," he said, adding that as compared to past, younger generations have more modern educational facilities in Sindh province.
KCAET principal further said students are considered ambassadors of a country and no country could progress without empowering its younger generation with research-based agriculture education.
He said agriculture science has more scope and agriculture sector is still playing cardinal role in uplifting of rural and urban areas' people across Pakistan.
The students of the KCAET College delivered speeches on different topics including scope of agriculture engineering. They said CPEC project has brought many opportunities in this field which has been ignored by the policymakers in the past.-PR
