A National Accountability Court on Thursday extended physical remand of former Director General Lahore Development Authority Ahad Cheema and other accused for another 15 days for their alleged involvement in Aashiyana-i-Iqbal Housing scheme scam.
Earlier the court asked the NAB officials about the progress of investigation into Paragon city and asked them to explain how the accused gave Ashiyana's land to Paragon city.
The court also directed the NAB officials to produce the map of the entire land in question so that it could clearly be pointed that how much land and which part of it was given to Paragon city.
The NAB officials demanding further remand submitted before the court that Cheema had also disclosed another piece of land in Islamabad which had yet to be investigated.
The officials said Cheema and his wife had also foreign currency account and important record was recovered from his laptop. The NAB officials said Cheema had also developed 'Be-nami' property which required further investigation.
However, the counsel of the accused opposed the NAB's plea for further remand, saying that the officials could not prove even a single allegation against his client.
