The Karachi Port handled 123,858 tonnes of cargo comprising 81,607 tonnes of import cargo and 42,251 tonnes of export cargo including NA loaded and empty containers during the last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Friday. The total import cargo of 81,607 tonnes comprised of 57,464 tonnes of containerised cargo; 2,197 tonnes of canola and 21,946 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 42,251 tonnes comprised of 26,031 tonnes of containerised cargo; 646 tonnes of bulk cargo; 1,644 tonnes of cement and 13,930 tonnes of wheat. There were seven ships namely Ever Deluxe, MSC Maria Laura, Xin Xia Men, Hansa Regensburg, Polo, Baltic Panther and Durban Queen carrying containers, wheat and bitumen respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period.
There were six vessels viz. APL Hawaii, Talassa, Hansa Regensburg, Wieland, Sezai Selah and Kiran Bosphorus carrying containers and wheat respectively currently at the berths.

PORT QASIM
A cargo volume of 139,644 tonnes comprising 98,262 tonnes of import cargo and 41,382 tonnes of export cargo including 4,144 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) was handled at Port Qasim during the last 24 hours on Friday.
The total import cargo of 98,262 tonnes includes 36,418 tonnes of diesel oil; 8,000 tonnes of coal; 1,197 tonnes of soyabean seeds; 13,993 tonnes of chemical; 1,300 tonnes of bitumen and 37,354 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 41,382 tonnes includes 41,382 tonnes of containerised cargo.
As many as 4,144 containers comprising of 1,966 containers import and 2,178 containers export were handled during the last 24 hours on Friday. There was one ship namely MT Glorious carrying diesel oil sailed out to sea on Friday morning, while two more ships namely CV APL Antwerp and MV GSE Fabulous carrying containers and chemical respectively are expected to sail on the same day afternoon.
A total number of eight vessels viz. CV APL Antwerp, CV CMA CGM Amazon, MV GP Asphalt-III, MV Pacific Valor, MV Crimson Empress, MV YM Miranda, MV GSE Fabulous and MT Glorious were currently occupied berths to load/offload containers, bitumen, general cargo, soyabean seeds, coal, chemical and diesel oil respectively during the last 24 hours.
As many as ten ships namely CV Songa Calabria, MV White Hawk, MV Zhen Bang, MV African Puffin, MV Islander, MT Maria-III, MT Maersk Magellan, MT Al-Soor-II, MT Al-Salam-II and MT Constantinos carrying containers, soyabean, canola seeds, coal, cement, LPG and diesel oil respectively were at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.
There were three vessels viz. CV Songa Calabria, CV Uni Florida and MV African Puffin carrying containers and coal expected to take berth at Qasim International Containers Terminal and Iron Ore & Coal Berth respectively on Friday. There were five ships namely CV APL Conging, CV Uni Florida, CV SM Challeston, CV Semax Greenwich and MV Dolphin carrying containers and general cargo respectively due to arrive on Friday.
There are four ships namely CV APL Hawaii, CV Libra, CV Cape Mayor and MT Maran Gas Coronis carrying containers and LNG respectively due to arrive on Saturday, while another ship namely MS Tiger carrying containers is due to arrive on Sunday.
