Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has assured to the working and labour classes in the country that the PPP will continue its struggle for their rights and privileges in future saying they are the backbone for party and society.
In a message on the eve of International Labour Day being observed across the world on May 1, the PPP chairman pointed out that Prime Minister Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto unveiled first-ever labour policy on February 10, 1972 and introduced trade unions' rights in the country, according to a press release issued here on Monday.
Bilawal also hailed the Sindh government for announcing first-ever tripartite Labour Policy, which was unanimously approved by the government, workers and employers as all the three agreed on the need of working through joint cooperation. Bilawal Bhutto pledged that PPP would introduce more labour-friendly legislation in future and stand like a rock against all the forces of exploitation at work against the labour community.-PR
