The Marketing Association of Pakistan (MAP) elected its new office-bearers for the 2018-2019 term at their Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Karachi. At the meeting, Syed Ali Hasan Naqvi, Head of Marketing at the DAWN Media Group was elected President of the Association, replacing Syed Talib Karim, Rector and Executive Director of the Institute of Business Management. In addition to this, Syed Imran Ahmad, Director at Pace (Pvt.) Ltd., was elected as Vice President while Ali Habib, Chief Marketing Officer of UBL was elected Honorary Secretary and Muhammad Jerjees Seja, Chief Executive Officer of the ARY Digital Network was elected Honorary Treasurer. Founded in 1967, MAP serves as a forum for professional marketers across the country and features more than 1,000 individual and 100 institutional members representing an array of fields including banking, media, healthcare, education and many others.
The body aims to provide a platform through which marketers can improve and develop technical knowledge of the marketing field, develop linkages with colleagues in the field and explore new innovations in the field.
To this end, MAP publishes a research journal and articles studying key issues in the marketing field and regularly organizes seminars, discussions and other events aimed at the professional development of Pakistani marketers.-PR
