National golfer Khushal Khan led the way with his gross par 144 score over 36 holes of the 54-holes 3rd Nur Khan Memorial National Ranking Golf Championship being played here at PAF Golf Course. Khushal Khan carded 36 at front nine and one under 35 at back nine including four birdies and two single bogeys. Khushal played a calculated first round and added another one over par 73 to his overnight one under 71 to make an aggregated total of par gross 144 over 36 holes.
A 2 HCP Khushal Khan of PAF Golf Club, was also leader in the Net with three under 69 and one under 71 to make a total of Net four under par 140. Khushal Khan played well and hit almost all regulations with some good birdie-putt from long distance at hole no. 16, par three where he made a birdies of 13 feet. Zubair Hussain struggled with his gross score two over par 146, with 76 at first day round and two under 70 on the second day round. Zuhair Hussain of PAF carded 37 at front nine and 39 at back nine on the opening day, followed by a good round of two under 34 at front nine and par 36 at back nine including seven birdies, three on the first day and four on the second day with a double bogey on the first day at hole no 17 and missed a stroke at hole no 3, 5, 8 and 13 in his second day round.
Leading amateur golfer Inayat Ullay Yousafzai carded 146, three over par over two day rounds and was struggling on third position. International golfer Muhammad Shabbir leading with his excellent rounds of six under 66 on the first day and the same on the second day with a total of 12 under 132 over 36 holes.
International golfer Muhammad Munir carded eight under 136 with four under each 68 on the first and second day by scoring 11 birdies, seven on the first day and four birdies on the second day.
Muhammad Naeem, a member of the national team with his gross six under 138 over 36 holes. Muhammad Naeem added four under par 68 on the first day and two under 70 on the second day with five birdies on the first day and six birdies and a single bogey at Hole No.9 on the second day.
Khalid Khan (139), Matloob Ahmad (139), Sunny Mashi (139), Anwar Mehmood (139) were the other leading professional golfers struggling behind. The Championship is caring a record Rs 2 million for the professionals, Rs 0.5 million for Senior Professionals, one 1300 CC car for Hole-in-One and other attractive utility prizes for the Amateur, ladies, boys Under-14, Under-17, Veterans, Senior Amateur and subsidiary match including HCP 13-18.
