Ramazan moon likely to be sighted on May 16

The Meteorological department has said that according to astronomical parameters, there is a Fair Chance of sighting the new moon of Ramazan, 1439 AH on the evening of 16-05-2018 ie on 29th of Shaban, 1439 AH. According to climate record, the weather is expected fair/partly cloudy in most parts of the country. It said on Tuesday that the new moon of Ramazanul Mubarak, 1439 AH will be born on crossing conjunction point at 16-49 PST on 15-05-2018. There is a Fair Chance of sighting the new moon of Ramazan, 1439 AH on the evening of 16-05-2018.
