Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ameer, Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan has strongly reacted to the statement of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif on 2008 Mumbai attacks, saying that Nawaz Sharif wants to only appease the India by alleging Pakistan for the attacks. He added that the incident was used by India to malign Pakistan.
Mushtaq Ahmad in a statement issued here on Sunday said that Nawaz Sharif statement is an insult to the state and deserved strongly condemnation, terming it a conspiracy against the country. "India used the Mumbai attacks for its own despicable plans," he maintained.
The JI leader said the Mumbai attack aimed to defame Pakistan and isolate it at international level. He said it's regretful that a person, who remained Prime Minister of Pakistan for three times, is towing the Indian agenda. He said a treason case should be registered against Nawaz Sharif. Senator Mushtaq Ahmad said that Nawaz Sharif corruption was exposed by judiciary and held him accountable and guilty so he (Nawaz Sharif) is giving baseless and fabricated statement against the state to take revenge.
The JI leader said that the Mumbai attack was the plan of India and its allied people, which merely aimed to isolate Pakistan at international level and declare it as terrorist state. He said that there was no reality in statement of Nawaz Sharif, in which he said that Pakistanis are involved in killing of 150 people in the Mumbai attacks. He said it's completely irresponsible statement of Nawaz Sharif, demanding Nawaz to take back his statement and make an apology to the nation. The JI leader said that Nawaz Sharif neither gave a statement on massacre of people of Kashmir in occupied territory nor raised the issue at national and international forum. He said, "Mian Sahib only remembered about Mumbai attack, but ignored Occupied Srinagar, Baramulla, Sopur and Islamabad." He said it was astonishing that Nawaz Sharif had kept mysterious and meaningful silence about Kulbhushan Jadhav.
