Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has constructed five small dams at the cost of Rs 2291.55 million to irrigate over 10000 agriculture land and benefit thousands of people in various parts of the province, said Economic Review KP 2016-17. The completed small dams included Jaba Khattak Dam, district Nowshera. The dam located near Uch and Tar villages on Tar Khwar at a distance of 22 kilometres from Pabbi. The cost of the project is Rs 114,85 million.
The dam has a crest length of 327ft with height of 44ft. The live storage capacity of the facility is 205 AF having cultivable command area (CCA) of 465 acres and estimated number 930 persons will be benefitted from the project.
