The second session of the last provincial cabinet meeting was held here on Wednesday, under Chief Minister Balochistan Abdul Quddus Bizenjo. Provincial cabinet approved the Balochistan Health Policy in light of the recommendations made by cabinet sub-committee, and also approved amendment in the Balochistan Civil Servants Act of 1974.
The cabinet approved Balochistan Revenue Authority, amendment Bill 2018 and Balochistan Drug Rules 2018, which will be forwarded to the provincial assembly for final approval. The provincial cabinet while approving the amendment in Ship Breaking Rules 1979, also agreed to increase per ton fees from Rs 50 to Rs 800 in Ship Breaking Yard.
Addressing the meeting, the chief minister said that the purpose of continuously holding cabinet meetings in the period of about five months was to speed up the development process of the province and to resolve public issues on immediate basis.
The provincial cabinet which was set up for a short period, played a major role in the implementation of the provincial affairs under the leadership of Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, a press release issued here said.
