Awami National Party (ANP) has given final shape to its election manifesto and sent to press for printing. The general secretary ANP, Mian Iftikhar Hussain will unveil the salient features of the party manifesto in a press briefing shortly.
In this connection, a meeting of the Manifesto Committee of ANP held here in Bacha Khan Markaz with chairman, Mian Iftikhar Hussain in the chair. Committee members including central vice president, Bushra Gohar, provincial general secretary, Sardar Hussain Babak and Deputy General Secretary, Aimal Wali Khan attended the meeting. The meeting reviewed the draft of the election manifesto of ANP and finalized its draft and then sent to press for printing.
Meanwhile, the secretary general ANP Mian Iftikhar Hussain has once again reiterated that the Election Commission of Pakistan should fulfill its responsibility of holding timely elections under its supervision and wherever need arise it should have power to call security. He said that holding free, fair and transparent polls is duty of the commission.
In a statement, he has said that banned organizations have continued their activities in political field and they wanted access to parliament at any cost to occupy the country. He called for taking solid and timely steps to prevent this dangerous game.
