On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,509. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at USD 3.701 billion and the number of lots traded was 4,866.
Major business was contributed by WTI crude oil amounting to PKR 878.564 million, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 735.300 million, gold PKR 542.076 million, NSDQ100 PKR 515.919 million, platinum PKR 313.458 million, DJ PKR 189.511 million, SP500 PKR 184.692 million, copper PKR 178.463 million, silver PKR 125.026 million, Brent crude oil PKR 28.659 million and natural gas PKR 10.066 million. In agriculture, 71 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 113.111 million were traded.
