A gang of six thieves involved in theft of electricity strung conductors has been arrested by the local police with the help of NTDC and contractor's security teams near Trimu Head Works in Jhang district. According to details, a dacoit gang equipped with automatic weapons and ammunition invaded construction site of 220kV transmission line of RLNG power plant Trimu Head Works Jhang to 220kV Grid Station Toba Tek Singh on night of 13 June 2018.
The patrolling teams of M/s Potential Engineers informed the Police helpline. Toba Tek Singh Police reached the site and caught six thieves red-handed and detained them in Police Station concerned. Whereas, four dacoits managed to escape by taking advantage of the darkness. Police have recovered weapons and cutters (used to cut the conductors) from members of the gang in custody.
