The country's total liquid foreign exchange reserves posted an increase of $341 million during last week due to arrival of official inflows. According to weekly report issued by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Thursday, the country's total liquid forex reserves rose to $16.798 billion as on June 14, 2018 compared to $16.457 billion on June 8, 2018.
During the week under review, SBP's liquid forex reserves increased by $199 million to $10.264 billion up from $10.065 billion a week earlier. The increase in the central bank's reserves has been attributed to arrival of official inflows. Similarly, reserves held by the banks surged to $6.534 billion, up $142 million.
