Safe, comfortable rail travel for masses priority of govt
FAISALABAD: Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Railways Mian Farukh Habib said the government was taking measures for providing safe, economical and comfortable train travelling facilities to masses.
Receiving high speed 'Rehman Baba Express' at Faisalabad railway station here Sunday night, he said that Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed was working day and night for up-gradation of railways and he hoped that Railways deficit would be met soon.
He said that high speed train would facilitate common passengers, businessmen and traders at affordable fare. He explained that steps were being taken to upgrade railway track from Karachi to Peshawar.
The government set the direction for good governance in last four months under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, he said and added that the targets would be achieved at brisk pace.
Farukh Habib said that reforms were underway in police, health, education and other departments, adding the people would see clear change soon.
MPAs Ch Latif Nazar, Mian Khial Kastroo, Mian Waris Aziz, Shakeel Shahid and party workers were present on the occasion.
