Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) chief Syed Mustafa Kamal on Sunday said his party believes in politics to serve the people instead of striving for power at the cost of citizens.
Addressing his party's general workers convention before the election campaign at Railway Ground Gulshan-e-Iqbal 13-B, he said: "Since the inception of the country, we could not become a one nation. We have been divided into various fractions on ethnic, provincial and national levels. We are known as Mohajir, Sindhi, Pashtun, Baloch, Shia, Sunni instead of Pakistanis," he deplored.
He expressed his commitment to address the core issues of the countrymen once PSP comes into power. He said the previous governments did nothing for the people's welfare as the health, education and infrastructure of the country is deteriorated. He said over 9000,000 students are out of schools despite the governments have spent around a thousand billion rupees on the very sector in previous years.
"Karchiites have been robbed by none other than their own gatekeepers. Now, the time has come to change its gatekeepers, who provided [Karachiites] with Kalashnikovs" he said requesting the people to vote and support PSP candidates who would strive to ensure the rights of the port city, and retract the youth on the right path.
Taking a jibe at his opponents he said "they would come to know on July 25 as how the party begins." "My establishment is the Allah Almighty," he said and paid tribute to those who helped and supported him in his political mission during the last a couple of years.
Today, what Kamal thinks, his party is ruling over the hearts of every Pakistani. The PSP has formally announced its candidates who would contest the elections from both the National and Provincial Assembly slots from across the country.
He urged the government to grant amnesty to the youth of Karachi similar to the Balochistan patron. Earlier while addressing to PSP election cell members, Kamal stressed upon the need of a change in thoughts to bring about revolution in the country.
PSP vice chairman Waseem Aftab on this occasion said in the presence of interim government Sindh, a free, fair and transparent election could not be exercised. Without naming any party or institution, he alleged that preparations for a panned poll rigging are underway with impunity. A conspiracy is being hatched to lower the voting ratio of urban Sindh. PSP president Anees Qaimkhani, central cabinet, members of nation council and a large number of workers and supporters including women and children were also present in the convention.
