Naan, roti prices up by Rs two in Rawalpindi

Prices of 'naan and khameri roti' have been increased by Rs 2 a piece in most of localities of Rawalpindi as before Eid-ul-Fitr, a 'roti and naan' were available for Rs 8 and 10 per piece while 'pateeri' roti for Rs 7 each. A survey of different markets revealed that 'naan and khameri roti' are being sold for Rs 12 and 10 respectively a piece and 'pateeri' roti for Rs 7 at Saddar,
Tench Bhatta, Peoples Colony, Dhoke Syedan, Masrial Road, Bakra Mandi, Committee Chowk, Liaquat Bagh, Raja Bazar and several other areas of the town as city's Naan Bai Association has increased the prices during Eid-ul-Fitr holidays on their own without the approval of the district administration.
