The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) anticipates inflows of up to $ 4 billion in response to government's Amnesty Scheme. No doubt, the amount, if fetched, will propel the beleaguered foreign exchange reserves of the country, which are said to have reduced to a mere two months' imports. According to media reports, FBR spokesperson and Senior Member Inland Revenue Policy, Dr Muhammad Iqbal said that response to the amnesty scheme is very positive, adding the last date (June 30, 2108) for filing of declarations would not be extended.
All those who seek to avail the amnesty scheme are requested to extend maximum support to this initiative in the larger interest of country.
