Marking the successful conclusion of Careem's TCF car type campaign, The Citizens Foundation (TCF) received a cheque of Rs6.6 million from Careem in a small ceremony at Careem House on Tuesday. These funds will help TCF run the operations of almost 3 schools for an entire year.
The cheque was presented by Careem's Managing Director, Junaid Iqbal and received by the Director of The Citizen Foundation, Bushra Afzal.
The campaign was launched by Careem in Ramadan 2018 in an effort to support TCF's mission of educating the less privileged children of Pakistan. The donated amount will help TCF get more children from impoverished communities into schools. During the entire holy month, a separate car type was created by TCF's name. Passengers who selected the TCF car type paid Rs20 above the regular GO+ fare to raise funds for the cause of education. Careem's MD, Junaid Iqbal, pledged to match the amount collected and maximize the donations.-PR
