Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan leader Dr Farooq Sattar remains unwilling to contest Elections 2018 and also shared his mood with the party's coordination committee head Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui. "I have told Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and Coordination Committee what I wish," he said, talking to media persons, here on Thursday.
Dr Sattar said he would like to run the election campaign for the party's nominated contestants. He urged his party to consider his request aimed at staying away from contesting the elections.
"MQM's convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and the Coordination Committee will decide the candidacies from MQM for the electoral frays," he said, expressing hope that party would overcome all the problems through unity in its ranks.
Farooq Sattar reiterated that he went to Bahadurabad unconditionally to unify the party in the interest of urban Sindh and Mohajir community. He said many hurdles came in the way of intra-MQM unity; hence, the party cadres need to surmount all these impediments by keeping unity intact. He said MQM-Pakistan is united under its symbol 'kite.' He urged all his party comrades to work together for making this symbol a success in the next elections.
"A six-member committee has been formed to resolve the intra-MQM issues," he said, urging all the estranged workers to rejoin MQM-P and bury their differences.
