Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief on Sunday urged political pundits not to draw comparison of PTI's five-year tenure in terrorism-torn Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with those who took six turns each. He was addressing a rally in Bannu as PTI expedited electoral campaign in bid to amass public support where he criticised his political opponents Maulana Fazl and Akram Khan Durrani
Khan also termed Maulana Fazlur Rehman power-seeking missile. He added that JUI-F chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman is just like a magnet, which is drawn to power as he becomes coalition partner with every ruling party. Imran, who will be contesting elections for NA-35 Bannu against Durrani, said he would be contesting a 'Pharaoh'.
"The condition of Fazl and Durrani improved but Bannu's condition is deteriorating," said Imran. Imran lamented that the condition of the country has worsened as the US dollar has risen to Rs 125. "When dollar rises against rupee, petroleum and electricity become expensive too..." said Imran.
Taking a jibe at Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) president Shahbaz Sharif, Khan taunted that they had never claimed to bring Peshawar at par with Paris. "We grew tree for future generations, introduced health cards, and brought in best local body system. We rectified police, education and health systems in the province", asserted Khan.
Imran Khan informed stalwarts that numbers of doctors in the province had augments to over 9000 whereas KP govt recruited as many as 60000 teachers. Khan vehemently extolled KP Police while tagging it best in Pakistan.
Khan deplored that country's economic indicators were plummeting at rapid pace. Imran Khan vowed to collect Rs 8000 billion tax if he came to power. "Imran Khan will not spend tax money on his own personality", he added.
According to the media reports, the PTI chief was also due to visit Waziristan earlier today, however, he didn't visit the tribal area for unknown reasons.
Imran is also scheduled to visit Karachi on July 3 for two days and address various public gatherings in the city. The former cricketer turned politician will be contesting elections from NA-243 constituency of Karachi.
In total, the PTI chief is contesting elections from five constituencies, including NA-95 Mianwali, NA-131 Lahore and NA-53 Islamabad.
