Office bearers of Pakistan Muslim League-N South Waziristan district have demanded of the central and provincial leadership to issue show-cause notice to the party nominated candidate on NA-49, Dilawar Khan Mehsud against his withdrawal in favour of PTI candidate Dost Muhammad Khan in the constituency and supporting him in upcoming general elections.
Speaking at a news conference at Peshawar Press Club, PML-N Spokesman from North Waziristan region, Naqeebullah Mehsud said that the Muslim league-N is an organized political party, for which they have rendered numerous sacrifices. He said they have fully supported the party president in North Waziristan Agency, Malik Ghani Mehsud.
But, he regretted that the party had issued ticket to Dilawar Khan Mehsud to contest the forthcoming general elections on NA-49. However, he added the party decision was widely welcomed by PML-N president NWA, Malik Ghani, leaders as well as workers in the tribal district.
Flanked by the PML-N tribal leaders and office bearers, Naqeebullah Meshud said that Dilawar Khan has constitutionally and morally lost his position in the party and the party tribal leaders and workers strongly denounced him. He called Dilawar Khan as opportunist and dishonest person, which have no more place in the party.
In this regard, he informed that they will soon meet with the party central leadership and would decide the future course of action shortly. On the occasion, Naqeebullah Mehsud reposed the confidence over the leadership of former prime minister and PML-N Supreme leader, Mian Nawaz Sharif and expressed the hope the party will again form its government in the centre due to good performance during last five years in the country.
