Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) has begun its electoral drive in the metropolis on Saturday. Speaking at a press conference at Idara Noor-e-Haq, MMA's Karachi chapter chief Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief who is also vice president of MMA - Siraj-ul-Haq will lead political rallies in the city today. Besides leading the rallies in seven different areas of the city, Siraj-ul-Haq will meet general public as part of election canvassing, Naeem said. He said the MMA will hold one big public gathering on the University Road at Hassan Square city on next Sunday, July 15.
Hafiz Naeem alleged the opposition political parties for violation of the Election Commission's Code of Conduct, saying the commission should take a notice of breach of its rules. He claimed that the MMA will emerge as an alternative political force in the city to end the long-standing civic issues.
He also asked Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan to clear his stance on the Namoos-e-Risalat Law, citing Shafqat Mehmood's latest remarks in this connection.
