The IInd death anniversary of eminent social worker Abdul Sattar Edhi will be observed across the country today (Sunday). 'Quran Khawani' will be held at the Edhi Village in Karachi which will be attended by people hailing from different walks of life including family members, admirers and volunteers of the Edhi Foundation which Abdul Sattar Edhi had established.
Rich tributes will be paid to Abdul Sattar Edhi for his immense services for the cause of humanity.
Interim Chief Minister Punjab Dr Hasan Askari in his message on the second death anniversary of Abdul Sattar Edhi said that Edhi has set up best example of human service and we should all learn from Abdul Sattar Edhi. "Edhi was an asset of Pakistan and he was true identity of Pakistan. He served humanity without discrimination of race, colour and religion. He is pride of humanity and he proved respect for humanity is the foundation of every religion".
