Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is geared up to accord rousing reception to the former premier Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz on their arrival in Lahore on July 13 (Friday). In this regard, the PML-N has asked different wings of the party to bring maximum people to the Lahore airport on July 13. The party candidates contesting July 25 elections have also been directed to ensure maximum participation on Friday, sources in the PML-N said.
The PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif, who is himself looking into reception programme on Monday held a meeting, to formulate strategy for according warm welcome to Nawaz and his daughter. A reception committee headed by Hamza Shahbaz was also constituted to finalise the reception plan. The PML-N Lahore President Mohammad Pervaiz Malik and secretary general Khawaja Imran Nazir are assisting Hamza in this task.
Hamza also held meetings with the party leaders and workers to finalise reception programme for Nawaz Sharif.
Speaking on the occasion, Hamza said Nawaz Sharif would be accorded historical reception on Friday and this would prove harbinger of change in the country's politics. He said the PML-N has served the masses and contesting elections on the basis of its performance.
Moreover, the PML-N candidates contesting elections from Lahore are running their election campaign in their respective constituencies with the slogan "Give respect to the vote-Give vote to the service." The PML-N candidates are visiting door to door in a bid to convince them to vote to the party. They are trying to muster support of influential families in their respective constituencies.
The PML-N leader Marriyum Auranzeb in a media briefing said the PML-N would accord rousing reception to Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz. Terming the recent Avenfield decision against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif as 'murder of justice,' Marriyum was of the view that the court of masses has rejected this decision.
She also said that Nawaz Sharif and Maryam's return to the country on July 13, would set the country's democratic direction. She also criticised PTI chairman Imran Niazi for hoodwinking the masses through baseless allegations.
Moreover, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hamza Shehbaz while addressing women workers convention at NA-124 said that injustice was made with Nawaz Sharif and his family as the accountability court judge in the Avenfield case verdict has written that prosecution failed to prove any charge of corruption against Nawaz Sharif.
Criticising Imran Khan, the PML-N leader said "Imran Niazi is habitual of telling lie and leveling baseless allegations. He (Imran Niazi) couldn't prove allegations leveled against Shahbaz Sharif and also did not appear before the court in the case filed by Shahbaz Sharif."
The PML-N leader said the people of Pakistan will reject the politics of lies, deceit, allegations and sit-ins on 25th July and will vote for those who had proven their ability to serve the people of Pakistan and who had the capacity to stand for the truth and for the rights of the people.
