The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has decided to arrest former senator Ishaq Dar through Interpol in the assets reference and for that purpose it has dispatched a letter to Ministry of Interior as well, Aaj News reported Tuesday.
Important documents, including perpetual warrants and Ishaq Dar's travel history, have been attached with the letter which NAB has written to the ministry to issue red warrants for Ishaq Dar. The news channel further reported that similarly Hassan and Hussain Nawaz, sons of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif would also be arrested through Interpol.
However, on the other hand, reports had it Interior Ministry has returned the application after terming it incomplete. Caretaker Interior Minister Muhammad Azam will approve the red warrants for Ishaq Dar.
In the reference against Ishaq Dar, NAB says that the accused has acquired assets and pecuniary interests/ resources in his own name and/or in the name of his dependents of an approximate amount of Rs 831.678 million. The reference says that the assets were disproportionate to his known sources of income.
