With focus on the slogan of -Give respect to vote-Give vote to service, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidates are running their election campaign for Lahore's 14 national and 30 provincial assemblies seats, amid hopes of giving a tough time to opponents in their respective constituencies.
The PML-N candidates are going door to door to not only motivate the people to vote for the PML-N but also to ask the party workers to ensure maximum participation on July 13, to accord rousing reception to Nawaz on arrival in Lahore. Currently, the focus of the PML-N candidates is on July 13, as they were assigned targets by the party leadership to bring maximum number of people to the Lahore airport on Friday.
A leader of the PML-N Mohammad Pervaiz Malik, who is contesting from NA-133, said they are spreading the party message among people and we are optimistic to get massive public support who would cast vote in favor of the PML-N on July 25 on the basis of its performance.
Another PML-N leader Waheed Alam Khan who is contesting from NA-125 said the PML-N would inflict defeat to all the anti-democratic forces on July 25. He said they are running their election campaign day and night and getting over whelming response of public.
In NA-125, PTI's Dr Yasmeen Rashid, TLY's candidate Azhar Hussain Rizvi and MML's supported Sheikh Yaqoob are also in the run. Furthermore, religious parties' alliance Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal is also in a contest with Hafiz Salman Butt in NA-125.
Former chief minister Punjab and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Mian Shahbaz Sharif and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Punjab President Abdul Aleem Khan are the only candidates in Lahore who are contesting on three seats- one of National Assembly and two of Provincial Assembly.
Interestingly, both provincial seats of Shahbaz Sharif are falling under his National Assembly's constituency while Aleem Khan is contesting one provincial seat PP-162 falling under PTI Chairman Imran Khan's constituency NA-131 and second one is PP-158 falling under his own national assembly's constituency NA-129.
The PML-N candidates have put their banners on display in their respective constituencies. Moreover, PML-N leader Hamza Shahbaz remained busy in making arrangements for Friday reception that met the party leaders at the party secretariat and assigned task for Friday's reception plan.
Talking on the occasion, Hamza said Nawaz Sharif is returning to the country for the sake of democracy and rule of law. He said the people of Pakistan had strong affection with Nawaz and monitoring the situation happening in the country. He said injustice is being meted out with a patriotic leader who made the country's defence impregnable, over load shedding, launched CPEC, eliminated menace of terrorism and initiated mega projects.
The PML-N workers from across the country are expected to reach here to accord rousing reception to Nawaz Sharif and her daughter. Hamza foresees that July 13 would set the country's future direction paving the way for a true democratic order.
