On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,495. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 4.534 billion and the number of lots traded was 6,354. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 1.228 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 1.099 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 1.017 billion, platinum PKR 308.421 million, NSDQ100 PKR 304.390 million, DJ PKR 299.388 million, silver PKR 114.817 million, copper PKR 77.976 million, Brent crude oil PKR 30.945 million, natural gas PKR 29.029 million and SP500 PKR 23.423 million.
In agriculture commodities, 15 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 36.412 million were traded.
