Member IR-Operations of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Habib Ullah Khan has made it clear that no further extension will be made in the last date of filing declarations under the Tax Amnesty Scheme 2018 after 31st of July.

The Member deliberated upon the essence and the provision of the Tax Amnesty Scheme. He appreciated the role of taxpayers, tax consultants and the work force of the department for the success of the scheme witnessed till date which has seen deposit of around 93 billion rupees into government treasury during a very short span of time.
He informed the participants that a lot of strenuous efforts were made by the senior management of the FBR in getting the cut-off date of the scheme extended for another 30 days, after observing the keen interest of the taxpayers against the time limitation of run of scheme which, though introduced earlier was given boost after the endorsement of August Supreme Court of Pakistan.
