Business and industrial community have strongly condemned the recent two separate terrorist attacks in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa that claimed over 150 people lives and 200 injured and demanded the government to capture culprits behind the incident and take concrete steps in containing law and order across the country to avoid such incidents in future.
They expressed their profound grief over the incident terming the tragedy as a coward and nefarious act of terrorism. They were of the view that undemocratic and inhuman forces were behind the tragedy. They demanded to book the culprits and brought them to justice. Such elements playing with the lives of innocent people were open enemy of humanity while the government was observing a volatile situation as silent spectator.
The leadership of Businessmen Group (BMG) and Office Bearers of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI), while expressing deep concerns over the recent two separate terrorist attacks in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in which over 150 people were killed and 200 injured, urged the law enforcing agencies to take concrete steps and devise strictest strategies to thwart terrorism and ensure full-fledge security in every nook and corner of the country, particularly during the ongoing election related activities which are easily being targeted nowadays.
Chairman BMG and former President KCCI Siraj Teli pointed out that Pakistan stands at a very crucial juncture where foreigners have finally started taking interest and are keen to visit and invest in the country whereas the business climate is also showing some signs of improvement which is not acceptable to the anti-state elements who must be dealt with an iron hand as we cannot afford to go back into the darkness of terrorism and lawlessness.
He said that steps being taken by LEAs to strictly deal with terrorism in any part of the country will be fully supported by the business and industrial community of Karachi as the citizens of other cities, towns and villages of our beloved country are equally dearer to us.
BMG Leadership and KCCI Office Bearers also expressed deep grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of Nawabzada Siraj Raisani, Balochistan Awami Party Candidate and Haroon Bilour, Awami National Party Candidate and dozens of other innocent people who were martyred in two different terrorist attacks in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
President KCCI Muffasar Atta Malik, Senior Vice President Abdul Basit Abdul Razzak and Vice President Rehan Hanif, Vice Chairmen BMG & former Presidents Tahir Khaliq, Zubair Motiwala, Haroon Farooki & Anjum Nisar stressed that strictest strategies have to be devised by LEAs to make sure that no further terrorism incident takes place in any part of the country as a lot of sacrifices have been made since 2013 to restore peace across the country and rebuild the image of Pakistan.
They extended their deepest condolence to the bereaved families and prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls and speedy recovery to those injured in the attacks. Expressing solidarity with the families who lost their loved ones in these tragic incidents, they said that the entire business and industrial community of Karachi was deeply saddened and they all stand shoulder-to-shoulder with their brothers and sisters in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in this hour of grief.
Leadership of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) including Ghazanfar Bilour, President; Syed Mazhar Ali Nasir, Sr. Vice President and Vice Presidents of FPCCI ; S.M. Muneer, Former Chief Executive TDAP and Former President, FPCCI and Iftikhar Ali Malik, Sr.
Vice President, SAARC CCI & Former President, FPCCI have strongly condemned the cowardly and brutal act of terrorism on two rallies of Siraj Raisani in Mastung and Akram Durrani in Bannu on Friday in which around 132 innocent peoples including Nawab Zada Siraj Raisani, Balochistan Awami Party (BAP), candidate for Provincial Assembly Seat were killed and 180 injured and by the grace of Allah, Akram Durrani MMA candidate for National Assembly escaped unhurt.
They said that handful terrorists whose backbone had been broken were playing havoc in desperation and frustration with our innocent people to derail the Pakistan from fast economic track and sabotage the democratic process. They added, "Pakistan is fighting against nexus of inimical forces which are not willing to absorb a peaceful and stable Pakistan".
They showed their resolve to remain undeterred and to defeat them. They added that the entire Pakistani nation including business community is united to crush the monster of terrorism with full national might.
They prayed that may Almighty Allah rest the martyred souls in eternal peace and grant fortitude and courage to the bereaved families of all the victims to bear this irreparable loss.
Sindh Caretaker Minister for Information Jameel Yusuf while condemning the Mastoung (Balochistan) and Bannu (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) Bomb Blast incidents has expressed his profound grief over the incident and sympathized with the Raisani family in which Siraj Raisani the contesting candidate has lost his life. He offered his condolence with the members of the deceased families and prayed that May ASWAT give them a place in His Heavenly Abode. (Ameen).
While Condemning both the tragic incidents, the Sindh Caretaker Minister for Information has said that the Terrorists sponsored by our enemies across the borders through their nefarious design and cowardly actions, will not end the spirit of Pakistani nation, who through Unity and Patriotism are continuously defeating such acts, adding that will eliminate such anti state elements and forces, from its roots and they will not allow them to succeed in their nefarious designs, he added.
The Minister reiterated the policy of the caretaker Government to hold free and fair elections in time without any delay. He has said that the Government is taking all possible efforts to hold peaceful elections, but anti state elements and terrorists through their cowardly acts, is desperately trying to sabotage the law and order situation.
The District administration with the workers of the political parties is discharging its national duty and keeping a vigil on such elements to ensure the peace during election campaign without any untoward incident round the clock. He once again expressed his deep sense of grief and shared his sorrow, has said that Pakistani nation is standing with the people of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in this time of grief and pain.
