The Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry has urged the government and law enforcement agencies to ensure early recovery of Tahir Iqbal, a trader of Samanabad who is missing from last many days. LCCI Acting President Zeshan Khalil said that Thair Iqbal went out for some work and mysteriously disappeared. Later, his car was recovered from Khanqah Dogran but he is still lost.
He said the incident has created panic amongst the business community. The provision of security to the citizens is the government's responsibility. He said business-friendly atmosphere is a pre-requisite for investment and industrialization.
The government, therefore, should listen to the business community's point of view for bringing peace back to this land of opportunities, he added. He said the business activities have already come to a grinding halt due to various challenges while rising crimes against businessmen are adding fuel to the fire. He urged the government and the law enforcement agencies to ensure early recovery of the missing trader.
