Caretaker Chief Minister Dr Hasan Askari has said that Punjab government is providing maximum security to the political leaders and their public rallies as tragic incidents of terrorism have already taken place in Balochistan and KPK.
Talking to newsmen Dr Hasan Askari said that cooperation at every level is mandatory for holding of transparent elections and implementation of code of conduct issued by the election commission for the candidates contesting elections.
The interim set up has evolved a strategy to address any complaint from any quarter. Caretaker Interior Minister Shaukat Javed takes immediate action on these complaints while implementation of Code of Conduct issued by Election Commission is also ensured. He said that prompt notice of media reports is also taken.
He said Interim government is assisting in the Electoral process under the framework of Election Commission and political parties are also taken on board. It is our utmost priority to provide peaceful, free and conducive environment for holding the polls on 25th July.
He said independent election could take place only if we cooperate with each other. With regard to Shahbaz Sharif comments about impartiality of the interim set up, Dr Askari said Shahbaz Sharif is a national leader and everyone is free to express his opinion.
