Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan Convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui on Monday said that his party is not fighting against any political party but against its own track record of development and good work done in the past.
Speaking at the public meeting of the party shortly before the end of election campaign at Liaquatabad, Dr Siddiqui ruled out the potential of any political party to challenge MQM Pakistan in urban Sindh and vowed to clean sweep the elections like the past.
He said MQM Pakistan would change the destiny of the coin if voted to power and said that people of the country are still enslaved despite the departure of colonial masters 70 years back.
He said that mammoth public meeting is a testimony to the fact that people of Karachi has again shown their tilt to vote MQM Pakistan overwhelmingly.
MQM-P leader Amir Khan demanded a general amnesty for the youth of Karachi and said that if extremisms in KPK can be facilitated and youth of Balochistan can be given amnesty, then why not Karachi be treated like that.
He said that strong arms tactics cannot halt party movement's against injustice and MQM-p did not leave the ground open for the opponents by boycotting general election," he said.
MQM condemns arrest of party workers and demand their immediate release, said Amir adding that authorities conducting general election should take measures to remove all the hindrances being created against MQM-P.
Dr Farooq Sattar said that that snatching of Karachi mandate would be tantamount to snatching of mandate of Pakistan and warned the elements to refrain from it. The flags and banners of MQM Pakistan can be removed, but the love for it can not be eliminated from the hearts of people of Karachi.
