Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has urged people to vote for his party tomorrow (Wednesday), saying that the time has reached a point to give a final push to the already "tumbling wall of flaws". In a recorded message sent from Adiala jail, Nawaz Sharif termed July 25 as the historic day in country's history. "I, Mohammad Nawaz Sharif, is speaking from the prison and the historic day of July 25 is just around the corner," he said.
"I am witnessing your passion while being incarcerated in the jail, and listening to 'respect the vote' chants everywhere...I want to tell you that the time has come to give a final push to the already tumbling wall of flaws that have been destined on us for years," he said.
The former premier said that he and his daughter were incarcerated because of leading the campaign for 'Respect the Vote', saying: "Maryam and I are incarcerated because we led this movement for your honour and respect of your vote."
"This is now your turn to make this movement a success, and announce such a historic verdict which may sweep all those verdicts away that have made Pakistan a graveyard of justice," he added. "Go out of your homes after Fajr prayers on July 25, with utmost resolve and determination, and vote for Muslim League-Nawaz for your dignity and sanctity of your vote", he urged the people and asked them to "change the fate of the country" and vote PML-N.
"This is a golden chance, which you are being given by Almighty Allah and through this, you have to change the fate of Pakistan at any cost," Nawaz Sharif further said in the message.
Meanwhile, addressing the PML-N election rally at Liaqat Bagh at the last day of election campaign, party leaders including former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Malik Abrar, Sardar Naseem and others claimed that PML-N will reemerge as the single largest party after Wednesday polls and make government at the center.
PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif was expected to give his last speech of the electioneering at historic Liaqat Bagh but he could not arrive due his scheduled addresses at other places in Punjab, including Dera Ghazi Khan.
