On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,581. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 7.602 billion and the number of lots traded was 8,859.
Major business was contributed by currencies through COTS amounting to PKR 2.172 billion, followed by WTI crude oil PKR 1.759 billion, gold PKR 1.540 billion, platinum PKR 555.932 million, NSDQ100 PKR 480.705 million, silver PKR 416.698 million, DJ PKR 221.864 million, SP500 PKR 213.205 million, copper PKR 194.762 million, natural gas PKR 42.030 million and Brent crude oil PKR 5.801 million.
In agriculture 3 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 16.672 million were traded.
