All necessary arrangements for holding general elections on Wednesday on five National Assembly and eleven Provincial Assembly seats have been finalized in Sialkot district. As many as 2,334,498 are registered voters out of which 1,031,097 are female voters in Sialkot district. On five National Assembly 95 candidates are contesting while 287 candidates are contesting on eleven Provincial Assembly seats in the district.
Election Commission of Pakistan had established 1862 polling stations out of which 538 male, 538 females and 786 are combine polling stations in the district.
Similarly, 4068 polling booths had also been set up of which 2130 male and 1938 are female booths in the district. Sialkot district administration had also made necessary arrangements for holding general elections in peaceful manners in Sialkot, Pasrur, Daska and Pasrur tehsils and special arrangements had also been made for 158 sensitive polling stations in Sialkot district.
