The Foreign Office has rejected Indian media's contention on Pakistan's general elections 2018 and called for an end to spewing venom and meddling in affairs of the neighbouring countries. Commenting on the debate in Indian media on Pakistan's July 25 general elections, Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal rejected the contention by Indian media on the elections.
"Who is India to claim that Pakistan becomes a terror state if "X" or "Y" wins [the polls]," the spokesperson said, adding that the Indian media should concentrate its attention on the country's own internal affairs and not on Pakistan's elections. "We absolutely reject Indian media contention on Pakistan's general elections...India is spewing venom," he added.
He said that elections are part of democratic process and anyone who assumes helm of affairs through electoral process should be acknowledged.
Certain Indian media outlets while commenting on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) becoming a majority seat winning party in National Assembly alleged that "Imran Khan's party supports Taliban and radical groups" and that "Pakistan to be terror state officially."
