Lahore police, despite serious security threats on the occasion of general election 2018 have played an important role for providing foolproof security and making election peaceful.
Lahore police have further strengthened the democratic process by making polling day peaceful. The way Lahore police have discharged its duties in general election proved that Punjab police is the best and professional force.
These views were expressed by CCPO Lahore and Add. IG B.A Nasir while appreciating the police officers and officials for making general election 2018 peaceful. He said that accepting the challenge for making general election peaceful was not an easy job without getting support of citizens and a comprehensive strategy. He thanked the law enforcement agencies, district administration and other concerned agencies for their efforts and support for making general elections peaceful.
On this occasion, he strongly condemned the blast in Quetta and said that Punjab police equally share the grief of the families of martyrs. He said that appreciation by lahorites for the arrangements made by Punjab Police for making general elections peaceful is a good Oman. It proves that confidence level of common man has increased on police force.
He warned political workers to remain peaceful in Punjab and do not exhibit weapons, aerial firing and fireworks as it is prohibited and strict legal action will be taken against those who found guilty.
