As many as 26 branches of the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) continued receiving deposits up to 10pm on Tuesday night from those availing the Tax Amnesty Scheme 2018. A notification issued by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) stated that the NBP branches would settle their transactions on same day - 31st July 2018.
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) sources said they have received substantial number of declarations up to the last date of extending period. They said letters have been issued over 20,000 notices to importers, exporters, retailers, builders, real estate agents, manufacturers and other categories to avail the opportunity.
