On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,451. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 8.899 billion and the number of lots traded was 16,389.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 3.090 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 2.070 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 1.609 billion, platinum PKR 689.751 million, DJ PKR 368.817 million, NSDQ100 PKR 328.761 million, SP500 PKR 278.504 million, copper PKR 199.982 million, silver PKR 148.658 million, natural gas PKR 60.892 million and Brent crude oil PKR 53.892 million.
