General Secretary ANP, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sardar Hussain Babak has said that banned outfits are carrying their activities in the name of welfare and called for immediate action against them. In a message in connection with Yum-e-Shuhada-e-Police, he expressed the hope for solidarity against terrorism and said that the priority of the state should be the abolition of terrorism.
He further said that for guaranteeing the establishment of peace in the country, the state is required to take all required steps to root out the cancer of terrorism.
The ANP activists paid rich tributes to the sacrifices and services of all martyrs of police force and that those who had sacrificed their lives for the restoration of peace had rendered unprecedented sacrifices. He said that ANP during its government in the province concentrated on special training of the police force and increased its strength from 40,000 to 80,000 while their salaries were also enhanced by 100 percent, which was followed by further increase in it.
Sardar Hussain Babak said that all these steps were required resources. However, for the sake of the abolition of terrorism and restoration of peace, they took that hard decision. He said that during government they trained the personnel of police force on the pattern of military while the martyrs' package was also increased from Rs 0.3 million to Rs 3.00 million and besides the recruitment of the children of martyrs and their salaries are also being paid to their families.
He said that for the maintenance of peace and stability in Pakistan and region the implementation of all points of the National Action Plan (NAP) is must. He also called for the beginning of brotherly relations with all neighbouring countries including Afghanistan.
