Justice Sardar Muhammad takes oath as acting LHC CJ

Justice Mamoon Rashid Sheikh administered oath to Justice Sardar Muhammad Shamim Ahmad Khan on Monday as the acting chief justice of the Lahore High Court (LHC). A simple but impressive ceremony held at LHC judges lounge. LHC judges, officials, law officers and senior bar members attended the ceremony. Justice Sardar Muhammad Shamim, who stood third on LHC judges seniority list, was made acting CJ because LHC Chief Justice Muhammad Yawar Ali and puisne judge Justice Muhammad Anwarul Haq along with three other judges had proceeded abroad to attend a conference.
