A meeting regarding prevention of Congo virus held here with Deputy Commissioner (DC), Dr Imran Hamid Sheikh in the chair. Besides, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Shahid Ali Khan, Assistant Commissioner (AC) Mughees Sanaullah, District Director Livestock, Dr, Masoom Shah, District Health Officer (DHO), all four town municipal officers, additional assistant commissioners and others attended the meeting at large.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner was told in detail regarding steps taken for the prevention of Congo virus in Peshawar, which was followed by the directives for the establishment of control cells on all entry points of livestock to the district. The officials of livestock stock departments deployed at these cells will conduct anti-Congo virus spray on the cattle entering the district and a certificate will be issued to the owner.
