The Lahore High Court on Wednesday issued notice to federal government in a petition questioning protocol given to PTI Chief Imran Khan before taking oath as Prime Minister. The LHC also issued notice to federal government in another petition against caretaker prime minister former Justice Nasirul Mulk for using public money on his visit to Sawat.
The petitioner Lawyers Foundation for Justice through A K Dogar argued that Imran Khan was given the protocol of a Prime Minister despite that he had not taken oath yet. He said enjoying such protocol before taking oath as Prime Minister was illegal and unlawful. He asked the court to direct the interim government to explain its position and withdraw the protocol given to Imran Khan.
