The city police on Wednesday foiled a suicide attempt by a 14-year-old boy in Lahore's Gulshan-e-Iqbal police jurisdiction, officials said. According to details, 14-year-old Abdul Rehman, after quarrelling with his family, climbed the rooftop of his house to commit suicide. The house was located in Kreem Block area of Gulshan-e-Iqbal police jurisdiction. Meanwhile, the family members alerted the police on its helpline 15 which reached the spot and successfully saved life of the teenager. On this, Superintendent of Police (SP) Nadeem Abbas appreciated the efforts of police personnel and gave them commendatory certificates.
