A bar member approached the Lahore High Court on Friday challenging the NAB ordinance and conviction of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Safdar and Captain Muhammad Safdar (retd).
The petitioner Shahid Chohan said the NAB was established through a presidential ordinance and people were being harassed in the name of accountability. He asked the court to restrain the NAB authorities from conducting inquiries under this law and stop it from harassing the people. He also asked the court to stop the NAB from holding inquiry of former chief minister Shahbaz Sharif.
