A close aide of PTI chairman Imran Khan and one of the aspirants for powerful office of Chief Minister Punjab Abdul Aleem Khan appeared before the investigating team of NAB Lahore Chapter in the personal capacity here on Friday to reply questions with regard to allegedly owning assets beyond his known income.
Aleem Khan had appeared before the NAB investigators before and recorded his statement in connection with this case. He claimed to have provided relevant record to the NAB and replied to investigators' queries. However NAB had summoned him again for August 10 after his reported failure to give money trail in accumulating assets beyond his known sources of income.
The bureau has been probing Aleem Khan in different inquiries, including an offshore company after he was named in Panama Leaks in April 2016 The PTI leader said he had already provided the details of his assets to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) "I have never made a single penny by corruption," He added.
Later talking to the media Aleem Khan said that he will appear before NAB whenever called by it. "Why he cannot appear before the NAB when his chairman appears before it," he said and added, "I have so far submitted 130 documents. I can appear anywhere if I have done no wrong act."
