Six persons including two women of the same family were killed while three others injured when rival groups triggered firing on each other over a family dispute in Rajar area of district Charsadda on Sunday.
The clash was erupted among close relatives over family dispute when Jillani Shah family opened fire on Sabir Shah family, the police and local sources said. As a result of firing four people include Sabir Shah, Anwar Shah and Ahmad Shah along with a women were killed while from Jillani Shah family, Qalandar Shah and his wife Gul Rukh were killed on the spot.
Two other persons include Jillani Shah and Fawad were seriously injured and were shifted to district headquarter hospital Charsadda. The injured were shifted to a hospital in Peshawar, police said, while the deceased were moved to District Headquarters Hospital. Three people have been arrested in connection to the incident and an investigation is under way, police added.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Charsadda, Basheer Ahmed said the deceased, who have been identified as Qalandar Shah, his wife Gul Rukh, Sabir Shah, Anwar Shah, Ahmed Shah and Navi Gul were all relatives. The police official told this scribe that FIR registered against eight accuses and three persons have been arrested while search is continue to arrest others persons nominated in the FIR. Due to lack of family disputes resolution council in Charsadda, family disputes frequently occurring in the area and earlier to this fifty year old husband killed his 17 years old wife over minute dispute.
