On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,417. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 8.032 billion and the number of lots traded was 11,684.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 2.981 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 2.181billion, NSDQ100 PKR 858.364 million, WTI crude oil PKR 828.728 million, DJ PKR 298.343 million, platinum PKR 273.331 million, silver PKR 266.859 million, SP500 PKR 211.182 million, natural gas PKR 56.649 million, copper PKR 49.695 million and Brent crude oil PKR 26.239 million. In agriculture 5 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 12.188 million were traded.
