PIA begins New Year with a warning for cabin crew to lose weight
The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has seemed to start off the New Year by setting a weight loss resolution for its crew cabin and giving them a deadline for them to lose weight.
According to local media reports, the airline has issued a circular, giving an ultimatum to its cabin crew to either lose 30 pounds or be grounded. The PIA wants its crew to have weight as per their Body Mass Index (BMI).
The circular furthers reads that the crew will have to lose five pounds a month so that by July they achieve the required weight and shed 30 pounds. PIA wants its crew members to meet the desired standard or BMI by July.
If any member fails to achieve the set limit, they will be grounded, the circular warns. After July, if the member will be found being over-weight, they will be referred to Air Crew Medical Center for medical evaluation until their weight is reduced up to desired BMI.
